About - CCRYN-Collaborative Centre for Mind Body Intervention through Yoga

CCRYN-Collaborative Centre for Mind Body Intervention through Yoga is established by Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), Delhi and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh as a Collaborative Research Centre at PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. The projects will be jointly conceived between CCRYN, Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. CCRYN will fund the projects in its entirety, whereas PGI Chandigarh will provide for Institutional approval, expertise, patients and study subjects and office space for housing research personnel in its premises. Co-ordination and Monitoring of Research Activities will be done by a committee constituted by CCRYN and PGI Chandigarh. CCRYN and Collaborative Institute will make necessary arrangements for publishing the research data in authenticated Journals or wherever possible, in consultation with each other. All relevant patents/copyrights in the research programme and its findings would be in the name of the Principal Investigator, Co-investigators and the benefits of the above said patents/copyrights would be held for the benefit and use of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.


Yoga College Centre, Punjab University

The Government Yoga Health Organization was established by the Chandigarh Administration in 1962 to promote health and awareness among the residents of the city beautiful. Regular yoga sessions were conducted for the benefit of the residents of the city. In July 1976, one year Diploma Course in Yoga Education was introduced in the college. In the year 1982 the institute started one year degree course i.e. B.Ed. (Yoga) course, affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh. The Chandigarh Administration took a landmark decision in the year 2008-09 by upgrading this institute as an independent college and it became Govt. College of Yoga Education & Health, Sector 23-A, Chandigarh. The Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy was further introduced in the college in the year 2007 under the innovative programme of University Grants Commission and duly affiliated by the Panjab University, Chandigarh. Further Basic Certificate Course in Yoga Education was also introduced in the year 2014.

Haryana Yog Aayog is an autonomous Government organization under the Aegis of Department of Health, Family Welfare and AYUSH, Haryana. Haryana Yog Aayog is mandated to propagate and promote Yoga and Naturopathy in the State of Haryana.
